JumpStart Projects

Below is a sampling of organizations that benefited from a JumpStart

Madeleine Magazine

Sometimes life throws you unexpected challenges and the owner and publisher of this magazine found herself needing some extra help.

JumpStart CEO Sharon Hughes-Geekie assisted with content development to ensure the issue made it into the hands of the magazine’s dedicated readers on time.

Okanagan Cultural Corridor

(Central Okanagan Economic Development Commission)

This project promoted the Okanagan as a cultural destination to tourists.

JumpStart met with and provided business support services to more than 200 galleries, heritage sites, agri-tourism operations and cultural attractions to ensure they were positioned to provide a positive guest experience.

Deliverables included the production and distribution of a 48 page guide book, a conference for cultural corridor organizations, and a two-day valley-wide promotional initiative.

Council of Canadians

This Ontario client was planning a three-day event in Kelowna.  The event was to include speakers, workshops, entertainment, a reception, dinner, protest march, book sales and an annual general meeting.

JumpStart worked with the organization’s local volunteer committee to plan, promote and host what turned out to be a very successful event and a positive experience for all involved.

Scary Bunny Be Fit

This Calgary entrepreneur has a great concept and exciting product offerings but, like so many start-ups, lacks the time and human resources to grow the business.

JumpStart is helping this client create a strategic plan and develop innovative cost-effective marketing initiatives that will help her build “a community of fit, healthy people enjoying life because they can.”
